Baldness and hair thinning solution explained

  • What is Scalp Micropigmentation?

Thousands of tiny droplets of specialised ink are skilfully implanted into the dermal layer of the skin, using a micro fine sterile needle. The ink/pigment is mixed to match your own hair colour and applied to the scalp in a detailed, patterned sequence appearing as tiny dots.

  • Does it hurt?

The treatment is non-surgical. It is not thought to be painful. However it is normal to have some redness immediately after treatment.

  • What does it look like?

The tiny dots simulate the appearance of shaved hair follicles and create the illusion of a texture and fullness - a typical buzz cut!

  • How long does it last?

SMP is permanent. It can last from three to six years without the need of a top-up session or whenever you feel the need to boost or blend in.

  • Why would I want this treatment?

This treatment is excellent for bringing back your hairline to its natural position. It may improve your confidence and make you look younger. It can also be used to add density to thinning hair for men and women.

  • Will it fade like a tattoo?

The ink and needles I use are specific to Scalp Micropigmentation, so will not discolour (blue/green) like some ordinary tattoo ink over time.
